Palais Royal - Paris, 2009

 

The project of this apartment lies in the work of the floor. 3 original sorts of wooden floorings : straight, chevron-patterned and Versailles coexisted but did not match the new rooms layout. Marie Christine Dorner took the decision to leave them in place, to simply restore them and sink a white resin over the missing surfaces.The use of the premises and the circulation ensue naturally.
